To do this, players move their villain figure across the game board, perform actions, enhance their own playing field, or hinder their opponents by playing heroes. Power tokens serve as an important resource to pay for actions and push the villain's evil plan step by step.

Disney Villainous: Wicked Waves is a standalone board and strategy game from Ravensburger, part of the popular Villainous series, designed for players aged 10 and up. It is an expansion that introduces two new Disney villains as playable characters into the Villainous game system. The game's goal is to use a devilishly good card strategy to achieve the individual goal of your villain to triumph as the greatest villain. The game can be played both independently and combined with other Villainous games.
The game's principle is based on each player moving a collectible figure on their player board and performing actions, mostly by playing hand cards. These cards include minions, items, events, and conditions necessary to fulfill the unique victory condition of each villain. A special action allows players to play Fate cards on opponents, containing heroes, items, and events from the villains' respective Disney movies, which influence the course of the game.
